Pune Off-road Expedition 2018 Concludes on a Weekend Note!
August 21, 2018Pune’s leading motoring event company 8Moto’s fifth edition of the highly rigorous yet thrilling experience – The Pune Offroad Expedition 2018 concluded over the past weekend. With the advent of the monsoons riders from across India and be it individuals, groups or companies everyone gears up for the adventure on their fossil fuel powered two- wheelers. This years’ edition saw enthusiasts who were not just from the city, but those from other locations as well had traveled just to be a part of this event.
This year’s event was witness to over 400+ motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts 35+ 4×4 vehicles with the Maruti Gypsy dominating the number of vehicles. Interestingly on day two we got to witness the gypsies a Thar and two Isuzu V-Cross vehicles in action. For them it was like rolling in mud and having fun! Witness to this event was over 300 visitors who not just friends and family but visitors to the premises who took time of their scheduled holiday time to admire and cheer these adventure junkies. Dishing out the delicacies was business as usual for the catering department who had an intake of over 800 people including participants, crew and the sponsors of the event. While SCOTT Sports India saw their second innings with a special counter displaying their bicycles, the event saw LIQUI MOLY INDIA , Creators Co. and Team Driven‘s presence at the event.
This year noted motorcyclists, finest motorcycle clubs and offroading junkies took on the demanding 70 kilometers route dodging ceaseless rain, water crossings, never ending puddles of slush and slippery inclines before concluding the ride with an early evening lunch on a rain soaked Sunday. Like earlier editions, this year’s edition too lived up to its theme #borntobewild and gave everyone a Sunday like no other in the presence of some exciting motorcycles,, scooterettes and automobiles.
The Pune Offroad Expedition 2018 in its fifth year of running was witness to an increasing number of female participants. While some of them were pillion riders, there were some who came astride not just stock four stroke machines but also on two stroke pocket rockets to take on this year’s grueling course.
