Unlike most other events, this is not just a communal gathering of motorcyclists but has been hosts to scooterists of the geared and automatic fraternities too. Last year’s edition saw the organisers take the terrain to an all new level with more tarmac with a generous serving of slush filled path that saw everyone helping their brothers who were stuck and any juncture. It did not matter what two-wheeler the person in need had, all that mattered was that the fellow rider had to make it across and back safely. Neither the slush filled riding gears nor the weather battered fatigue could dampen the spirits of all participants who eagerly meandered their way to the finish line to join fellow riders in the concluding celebrations. While this is not a competitive event but a jolly celebration of the offroading spirit and coming together of the motoring community in the wilderness that the Sahyadri mountain range offers us so generously.
This year noted motocross riders, finest motorcycle clubs and offroading junkies will take on the demanding 50km route dodging ceaseless rain, water crossings, knee-deep slush and slippery terrain before ending the ride with a late afternoon lunch coupled with some live music. Like earlier editions, this year’s edition too will be a fun-filled Sunday like no other in company of some exciting motorcycles and automobiles. The Pune Offroad Expedition 2018 promises to be bigger and better in its fifth year of running!
Taking India’s toughest motorcycling event a notch higher, Sangram Patil (Founder – 8Moto) Said, “The theme for 2018 edition of the Pune Off-road Expedition is Born to be wild . We will be introducing some challenging yet thrilling elements in the trail. Also, this year celebrating the Spirit of Pune Off-road Expedition we will have the Spirit of POE awards for the best custom built adventure motorcycle, the NON OFFROAD two-wheelers and special prizes for the participants.”
The prizes for Spirit of Pune Off-road Expedition are as follows:
1st prize – NON OFFROAD motorcycle/ two- wheeler(eg: Bajaj Avenger, Harley Davidson, Honda Activa, Yamaha R15, KTM RC etc.)
Apart from the above prizes there will be special prizes riders who display the true Spirit of POE

*In order to qualify for the event all participants are requested to wear necessary motorcycle gear like certified full-face helmet, gloves, riding jacket/armour, riding pants or knee & elbow pads, ankle length boots.
