If you are a younger sibling who has experienced a similar phenomena on your elder brother or sister’s machine and want to talk about it send in your reviews to savio@theupshifters.com with the heading “love at first ride”
Yeah! You read it right, “THE BIG BIKE FEEL”
From watching bikes to riding them this is how we grew up to be motorcyclists. The Pulsar 220f being the KNIGHT of streets from 2007, is a perfect bike fo2r a rookie.
The design, decals, shades of it makes it look no lesser than a moto3 class bike.
The unchanged grandeur characteristically design of it is a seed sowed in 2007. Now that germinated seed can be seen in the designs of the modern day bikes. The 1350 mm wheelbase gives the bike a good cornering clearance which lacks in few bikes. The splendid pictures on social media has increased the want to try cornering, for a rookie this is “THE BIKE” to go to as it provides good stability. The stability is provided to it as the centre of gravity of the bike is near the rider unlike other bikes. The company also provides the rider high performance engine . The speed to break ratio is one of the good things in this bike.
The sole reason for me talking about THIS BIKE is, it is always a great feeling to brag about every FIRST things in life, be it your bike, school, friends and what not. So here I am talking about the first bike with which a strong bond was formed . It all started when my brother bought THIS BEAST and I, being a younger sibling had to do not more than praise the features of it. One day , I managed to convince my brother for a ride together . We did a 80km short ride where I rode the bike one way. A ride full of ambiguities of how changing gearsended on a good note for me.
My brother who was a moderator at a city motorcycling club used to ride very often. Doing rides with the club gave him utmost happiness, and not for one time I could understand why it was so fun riding bikes until, one day he took me to a meetup which created a great impact on putting out my craze for riding (I knew it was in the blood). Seeing my brother cornering scared a part of me but eventually I overcame the fear and started sitting as a pillion in the curves. It was one day that made me go GAGA on my brother’s riding skills where I saw a picture of him doing a POWER DRIFT on the shores of a drive thru beach.
He being a good rider and a great Brother taught me how to FEEL a bike.
He always quotes this to me “WITH GREAT THINGS COME GREAT RESPONSIBILITIES”. I am really proud of my brother for bringing out the biking craze and responsibility factor in me. I witnessed all this when I knew less about biking which gave me a scope for improvisation.

The expectations for the 2019 model would be a groove to tuck the helmet during a nair pass. New graphics and colours. As a motorcycle leans over, cornering forces require a larger percentage of the traction between the tires’ tread and the road surface hence a “CORNERING ABS”. By doing this it would be the first Indian entry class bike to get that system.
GETTING ON THIS BIKE AND GOING FOR A SPIN IS THE BEST FEELING YOU GET AS A TEEN……
#LEGEND(STAYING IN THE STREETS FOR MORE THAN A DECADE) IS WHAT THAT CAN BE CALLED TO THIS BIKE.
WEAR A HELMET & RIDE SAFE.
